Murana Arabian Stud, situated in the beautiful valleys of South East Bavaria in Germany, is the farm of Michaela Weidner and Michael Verhoeven. Breeding Arabians since more than 25 years now, their fascination for the beauty of the Arabian horse is today stronger than ever.
Their breeding program had been very successful winning numerous National and International Championship titles in the show ring as well as on the race track in the past with mainly Russian bred horses.

In the last 3 years many things changed at Murana Stud. With the purchase of the CH El Brillo son ALISHAAR EL BRI (out of a CWP Chances Are daughter) and the El Shaklan grand-daughter JANA EL BRI, a “new” type of Arabian horse came into the breeding program of Murana. And the results first have already been visible in the next home bred generation. The bay yearling filly MURANAS JE T’AIME by PSYTADEL (by Padrons Psyche) was shown very successfully through the 2005 season winning several Top Five and Championship titles crowned with the Top Five Yearling Fillies at the prestigious All Nations Cup Aachen - presented by Glenn Schoukens. “We are very excited about this filly and are looking forward to a successful 2006 show season”, says Michael. A second very promising youngster for the next years show season is MURANAS PATRIZIAA. She is by ALISHAAR EL BRI out of a pure polish ECAHO-daughter. Already snow-white she fascinates everybody with her “look-at-me”-attitude.

Another highlight at the farm is the pure polish Monogramm-daughter ESCAPADE (out of a Bandos-daughter). “After ALISHAAR is obviously breeding very well with polish mares we looked for a tall and elegant mare with valuable bloodlines”, says Michaela who especially adores the polish E-line.
“Our goal is to breed exotic Arabian Horses with the potential to be successful show- and performance horses and with ESCAPADE we found the perfect match. She is in foal to ALISHAAR EL BRI for May 2006”.

Further breedings to MARWAN AL SHAQAB, WH JUSTICE and PSYTADEL on the mainly straight Russian broodmares are planned for the 2006 season.

Visitors are always welcome at Murana Stud, only one and a half hours away from Munich airport a pick-up service can be arranged by appointment.
